580, 581 – Great Yarmouth to Bungay

There have been removals of some 581 journeys which are now operated by Simonds. There has also been revised departure times for this service from Great Yarmouth for the ENSF time change.

There have been additional overnight journeys added to this service travelling to and from UEA.

1, 1A – Diss to Norwich

Service 2 has been renumbered to 1A and serves Tivetshall, providing a PM shopping journey to Diss.

3A – Garvestone and Whinburgh to Watton

This service has been withdrawn due to very low usage.

3, 6 – Watton to Norwich

There has been a minor re-timing to this service on the AM peak journey. An evening journey has been introduced at 2120 from Watton and 2230 from Norwich on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

4, 4A – Swanton Morley to Dereham to Norwich

The 1458 departure from Dereham to Mattishall has been withdrawn, the 1540 departure from Dereham has been retimed and the 1645 departure from Easton to Norwich has been added. Evenings and Sunday journeys are also to serve UEA.

5 – Rackheath to Norwich

An additional evening journey has been added to this service.

5B – Rackheath to Thorpe to Norwich

There have been peak time extensions to Easton College added to this service.

6B – City Centre to Eaton

There have been minor time changes to this service and a 1800 departure from the Rail Station to Eaton has been added.

8 – Dereham to Norwich

This service has had minor time changes

11, 11A – Swaffham to Watton to Dereham

Journeys on this service that serve Wayland Academy will now also serve Saham Hills. The 11A PM journey has been retimed, and an additional late journey at 2345 has been added on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays between Watton and Dereham.

11B – Sprowston to City Centre

There have been minor time changes to this service and early evening journeys have been transferred to the 5B.

11C – Heartsease to City Centre

This service now has Saturday journeys.

15 – Watton Area

This service provides three shopping journeys into Watton, operating Monday to Saturday for Carbrooke and Ovington.

21, 22, 23 – Fakenham to Dereham

These services have a new 0815 departure from Dereham to Fakenham on Saturdays and School Holidays, and the 0910 departure from Colkirk to Dereham has been extended back to start from Fakenham.

30A – Thorpe Marriot to City Centre

This service has been rerouted through Thorpe Marriot estate at terminus points.

81 – Thetford to Watton

The 1340 departure from Watton to Thetford and 1420 departure from Thetford to Watton have been added to this service, along with other minor time changes.

82A  – Besthorpe to Attleborough

A new shopping service to the Besthorpe end of Attleborough has been introduced Monday to Saturday.

X3, X6, 82 – Watton to Great Ellingham to Norwich

The 1335 departure for the X3 from Watton to Norwich has been withdrawn. These services now also serve Little Ellingham.

 

Lynx

60 – Wisbech to Outwell Circular

This service was previously operated by West Norfolk Community Transport, but is now operated by Lynx following a re-tender.

 

Simonds

81 – Beccles to Diss

This service has been renumbered from 581.The frequency has been increased to hourly between Diss and Harleston.  This service has also been re-routed in Harleston to better serve housing estates, and is now serving Diss rail station. There are now 3 journeys a day in each direction to/from Beccles.

82 – Diss to Norwich

This service has been renumbered from service 2. The frequency of this service has also been increased to hourly and the Bus Service Improvement Plan has funded additional evening journeys.

83 – Diss Town Service

This service has been renumbered from service 17.

84 – Pulhams to Diss

This service has been renumbered from service 584.

70 – Diss to Bury St Edmunds (Feeder Service)

This service has been renumbered from 337, 338 and 304 and is a feeder service for villages towards Bury St Edmunds.

 

West Norfolk Community Transport / Go to Town

2 – North Lynn to King’s Lynn

The North Lynn industrial estate has been removed from two journeys on this service as it is already served by the 3H service.

5 – Gaywood to King’s Lynn

An additional afternoon journey has been added to this service Monday to Friday.

There has been a minor route amendment in Hethersett and minor time changes to this service.

This is a new hourly service which serves Broadland Business Park to Yarmouth Road to City Centre.

This is a new service that serves Norwich to Hemsby operating on Wednesdays and Saturdays only.

Coasthopper 2 – Cromer to North Walsham

This service now had revised Sunday times (it is now a through bus with X55), which means no wait time is required in North Walsham.

42 – Reepham to Norwich

The route in and out of Norwich for this service has been revised to take the Northern Distribution Road (NDR) and Cromer Road to improve timings.

43 – Reepham to Aylsham to Norwich

This service has been rerouted in Aylsham to serve Cawston Road on some journeys. There are also new additional evening journeys.

44 – Sheringham to Norwich

This service has had revised timetables to retain connections with the X40 and X44.

45 – Holt to Norwich

The route in and out of Norwich for this service has been revised to take the Northern Distribution Road (NDR) and Cromer Road to improve timings.

54 – North Walsham to Badersfield to Norwich

This service now has additional Saturday journeys to provide an hourly frequency.

X55 – North Walsham to Norwich

The Bus Service Improvement Plan has funded an additional 2240 departure from Norwich to North Walsham.

X40, 44A, X41, X44 – Sheringham to Aylsham to Norwich

The Bus Service Improvement Plan has funded an additional service X41 which now serves Aylsham off peak which provides more journeys and improved coverage of the town. The timings have also been revised for these services and includes an increase in frequency.

Coach Services

200 and 201 – Thetford to Mildenhall

These services have had minor time changes to off peak journeys to improve punctuality.

First Bus

1, 1A, 1C – Hemsby to Great Yarmouth

These services have had a reintroduction of a seasonal service and minor amendments to 1 and 1A services.

2 – James Paget Hospital to Bradwell to Great Yarmouth

The Bus Service Improvement Plan has funded extended services to now use the 3rd river crossing, and links Barracks and Bradwell directly to James Paget Hospital. This service also links the new estates in South Bradwell with Bradwell Village.

5, 6, 6B, 7 (Now 3, 3B) – Burgh Castle and Bradwell to Great Yarmouth

The Bus Service Improvement Plan has funded a revision and renumbering of services 5, 6, 6B and 7 to 3 and 3B. The 3 and 3B takes a route from Great Yarmouth to Barracks, it then uses the 3rd river crossing to go to Gorleston and Bradwell, then ends at Burgh Castle. This service also now has an improved half hourly service for Burgh Castle and direct links to the sea front from Bradwell and Gorleston.

7 – Norwich – Filby – Caister – Great Yarmouth

The Bus Service Improvement Plan has funded an amendment to this services timetable and has included an extension to certain journeys to the James Paget Hospital.

X1 – Norwich to Great Yarmouth

There has been a withdrawal of the 2355 service that served Great Yarmouth to Lowestoft, however, this has been partly replaced by First 7.

Coasthopper and 44 – North Norfolk

A summer timetable is now in operation to reflect an increase in frequency including later evening journeys between Cromer and Sheringham.

West Norfolk Community Transport / Go to Town

4 – King’s Lynn

The Bus Service Improvement Plan has funded a service enhancement to allow the service to run at an increased frequency, including more peak time journeys.

82 and 83 – Thetford Town

The Woodlands Drive estate has been added to this service on an hourly frequency. The Admirals Way and Harwood Avenue loop has dropped down from a half-hourly to hourly frequency.

90 – Attleborough to Norwich

This service now runs at an increased frequency.

3 and 6 – Watton to Norwich

The Bus Service Improvement Plan has funded additional Sunday journeys for this service, between Watton and Norwich on a subsidised route.

4 and 4A – Swanton Morely to Dereham to Norwich

This service has had minor timetable changes.

5 – Rackheath to Salhouse Road to Norwich

The Bus Service Improvement Plan has funded a service enhancement serving the Rackheath and Salhouse Road new estates along with Mousehold Heath.

5B – Stalham to Norwich

This service’s timetable has been revised; it now just serves Stalham to Norwich. Eaton to the City Centre has been renumbered as 6B to improve punctuality.

6B – Eaton to City Centre

The 5B service has been renumbered to 6B. There is also no longer a through service to Thorpe and Wroxham to improve punctuality.

8 and 8A – North Tuddenham to Norwich

This service has had additional 8A journeys added for the village.

11 – Dereham to Watton

The Bus Service Improvement Plan has funded additional Sunday journeys for this service, between Watton and Norwich on a subsidised route.

The Tuesday only service was withdrawn on the 12th of March. Several travel alternatives are available for most passengers.

15-20 – Cromer to Holt

Having had a revised route and timetable, this service now serves Felbrigg Hall between Cromer and Sheringham. Journeys from Little Barningham and Corpusty to Holt have also been added on Fridays. This service also no longer links from service 18.

18, 18A – Cromer to Aylsham to North Walsham

This service has had its timetable revised following a retender. Saturday’s have been withdrawn and the service no longer links to the 16-20 group at Cromer.

34, 34A – Stalham to Bacton to North Walsham

There is a revised timetable for this service following a retender, which includes improved connections to onward services at North Walsham.

834 – Bacton to Gorleston

This service has had a revised route and timing of a college day only service following a retender.

Sunbeam Travel

1 – Aldborough to Aylsham

A new Monday-Friday service is being introduced, connecting Aldborough and Erpingham to Aylsham and onward connections to and from Norwich (these will be numbered 2,3,4 on Tues, Weds, Thurs – see below)

1A – Tuttington to Aylsham

This service has had a revised timetable, and the frequency has been increased to Mondays and Fridays.

1B – Blickling Hall to Wickmere to Aylsham

A new Monday and Friday service offering a link between Aylsham and Blickling Hall and nearby villages into Aylsham, has been added.

2 – Aldborough to North Walsham to Hoveton

This service has been extended to Hoveton to offer a link between North Walsham and Hoveton. Tunstead has also been added to this route.

3 – Aldborough to Wroxham

This service’s timetable has been revised.

3A – Barton Turf to Hoveton

This service’s timetable has been revised.

4 – Aldborough to North Walsham

This service has now been re-routed into the city centre via Thorpe Road to serve Norwich Train Station and will leave Norwich via the bypass.

512 – Airport Park and Ride to UEA to N&NUH

There have been minor time changes to this service, and this service has also been withdrawn from Hercules Road.

515 – Easton to Airport

There has been an additional journey added to this service, some journeys have been extended to Dereham and withdrawn from Hercules Road.

This service now runs at an increased frequency at peak times.

210 / 54 – North Walsham to Badersfield to Norwich

The 210 service has been renumbered to 54. This service now runs at an increased frequency, particularly between Badersfield and Norwich.

37E/37D/37T – East Harling to Diss, Thetford and Attleborough

There will be a minor route change on this service in East Harling to better serve the village. The village of New Buckenham will be withdrawn from afternoon journeys due to low usage, now making the journey more direct.

84/86 – Thetford to Bury St Edmunds

This service will operate an increased frequency on Sundays and evenings which has been funded by the Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP).

90 – Thetford to Attleborough to Norwich

This is a new service being introduced which will offer journeys in each direction from the 4th of December.

West Norfolk Community Transport

Rural Dial-a-Bus

Changes have been made to this pre-book service to enable concessionary pass holders to travel for free on the new Village Link West Services from the 18th of December.

8/8A – Dereham to North Tuddenham to Norwich

This service will now have additional 8A journeys operating on Saturdays to reflect increased demand. Services will also operate through North Tuddenham village from the 18th of November.

1 – Diss to Long Stratton to Norwich

Tharston has made a return to this route, while Wacton is now being served by the 84. This service has also had minor time changes to improve punctuality.

84 – Norwich to Hempnall to Long Stratton

This service has now been extended to include the village of Wacton, previously served on service 1. This service has also had minor time changes.

808A – Ringland to Longwater Retail Park

This service has been re-routed due to an emergency weight limit imposed on Ringland Bridge.

First Bus

Pink Line 11, 11A, 12 – Norwich to NNUH to Hethersett

This service will now have more evening journeys between the City Centre and Hethersett, via Norfolk and Norwich Hospital. Hourly journeys will operate every day, replacing the 13A and 13B journeys to and from the hospital.

Green Line 14, 14A, 15, 15A, 16, 16A

Blofield Heath – Brundall – Little Plumstead – Norwich – Wymondham

East of Norwich

Services have been renumbered to make it easier to identify your destination when travelling to the east of the city.

Services 14 and 14A will operate to and from Dussindale.

Services 15 and 15A will operate to and from Blofield Heath.

Services 16 and 16A will operate to and from Lingwood.

Current services 14A and 14P will be replaced by new services 33 and 33A, which serves Harvey Lane and Dussindale (some journeys only), Great Plumstead, Little Plumstead, South Walsham and Pilson Green.

Southwest of Norwich

There will be new evening and Sunday services to Wymondham and Silfield, and some routes have been extended to Harts Farm and Silfield which has been funded by our Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP). These new journeys will replace services 13A and 13B.

Services 14 and 14A will operate via Hethersett, Tuttles Lane, Sheffield Road and Folly Road to Wymondham Cross. Evening 14A journeys will then also serve Harts Farm and Silfield.

Services 15 and 16 will operate along the main Norwich Road (B1172) directly to Wymondham Cross. Both services will also operate via Harts Farm to Silfield.

Purple Line 36, 36B, 37 – Horsford to Norwich

These services now include additional evening and Sunday journeys between Horsford, the City Centre and Hall Road, it has also been extended in Horsford to include the new Kingfisher Meadow housing development, which has been funded by the Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP).

Red Line 23, 24 – Thorpe St Andrew to Norwich to Costessey

There will be a new hourly evening service, as well as new Sunday journeys to Thorpe St Andrew which have been funded by the Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP).

Monday to Sunday

23A evening journeys from Longwater Retail Park will now operate as an improved service 24B, making hourly journeys to Thorpe St Andrew, Sainsburys.

Sunday

Every Sunday, a new hourly service 24 will operate between the City Centre and Thorpe St Andrew during the day.

Turquoise Line 13, 13A, 13B – Spixworth to Norwich to Attleborough

Services 13A and 13B will be replaced on evenings and Sundays by service 13, which will now operate direct along Norwich Road (B1172) to and from Wymondham Cross, then through to Attleborough.

Hethersett and the Tuttles lane/Sheffield Road area of Wymondham will now be served by the enhanced Green Line services 14, 14A, 15A, 16A.

Spixworth will also benefit from a new hourly service on Sundays.

All changes on this line have been funded by the Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP).

September 2023

The Harling, Wymondham and Wayland flexibuses that were operated by West Norfolk Community Transport are no longer in operation.

Instead, there will be a new South Norfolk flexibus offering pre-book journeys to Wymondham, Thetford, Watton, Attleborough and Diss on set days!

The operator will change from West Norfolk Community Transport to Our Bus. Bookings can be made by calling 08000 351350 or by using our flexibus journey request form.

There are also other pre-book services available in Acle which links to Norwich and Great Yarmouth, and Marlingford area which links to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, and onward travel to Norwich City Centre.

Following a review and passenger consultation a number of new timetabled journeys have been introduced to serve the passengers that frequently travelled in the Harling, Wymondham and Wayland flexibus areas. These changes will be made from the 3rd of September 2023.

This service will provide a timetabled journey from Garboldisham to Diss on Wednesdays only. This service still also provides pre-book journeys to Diss on Fridays.

This service will also provide a timetabled journey from the Lophams, Winfarthing and Shelfanger to Diss on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays only.

This service will provide a timetabled journey from Bridgham and Brettenham to Thetford on Tuesdays only.

Coach Services 40

This existing service to Thetford has been renumbered to 88 and 89, and will now have improved frequency between journeys and more travel options for the following villages.

There will be a new service introduced partly replacing the pre-book Flexibus service. There will be   journeys to Diss on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, journeys to Thetford on Tuesdays, and journeys to Attleborough on Thursdays. There will also be afternoon journeys into Attleborough Monday to Friday.

Coach Services and Simonds 37A – East Harling to Buckenhams to Ashwellthorpe to Norwich

This service will remain direct to Norwich. The route in Norwich will serve Hall Road, Ring Road, and Ipswich Road on all journeys. There will be minor changes to the timetables, and additional journeys will be added for some villages. The operators will remain the same, with Coach Services Monday to Friday, and Simonds on Saturdays.

First Bus

40 – Bungay to Poringland to Norwich

The Sunday service run by Konectbus is now changing to First Bus. This means there will be an improvement in frequency, making this an hourly service which has been funded by the Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP).

Konectbus and Simonds 1: Diss – Gissing – Forncett – Long Stratton – Norwich

The operator of this service has now changed to Konectbus on Saturdays. The 5:45pm departure from Norwich and 6:18pm connection at Hempnall has been withdrawn due to minimal usage by passengers per journey. Wacton has now been added to this service, and some journeys will now extend to Castle Meadow.

3 and 6 – Watton to Norwich

The operator of these services has now changed from Konectbus to First Bus. This service will now run with an improved hourly frequency which has been funded by the Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP).

4 and 4A – Swanton Morley to Dereham to Norwich

This service has had minor time changes.

5B – Stalham to Norwich to Eaton

Journeys to Hethersett Academy from Cringleford and Little Melton have now been added to this service.

11 and 11A – Swaffham to Watton to Dereham

There has been a revised routing in Swaffham and Watton, and 11A has now been extended to Bradenham.

11B – Sprowston to City Centre

There has been a minor revision to peak morning times to improve service reliability.

14 – Watton to Dereham

This service has now been extended back to Watton to cater for school students.

17 – Bradenham to Dereham

This service has had minor time changes.

18 – Lyng to Dereham

There will be a new Tuesday and Friday service serving Lyng, Elsing, North Tuddenham and Billingford replacing the Nortax Taxibus.

21, 22, 23, 121 – Fakenham to Dereham

This service has now been extended to Fakenham through Colkirk or Great Ryburgh and more journeys have been added with funding from the Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP).

X3 and 82 – Attleborough to Great Ellingham to Watton

This service now has an improved frequency which has been funded by the Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP). This service also provides journeys into either town including onward connections to Norwich.

84 – Hempnall to Shotesham to Norwich

This service now includes additional shopping journeys to Long Stratton. A link to Poringland has been retained following passenger feedback. There have also been minor route and time changes to this service.

503 – Postwick Park and Ride

There is now a 20-minute service being reintroduced Monday to Saturday.

512 and 515 – Airport to UEA to NNUH

There is a revised route in Hellesdon which now serves Hercules Road.

Nortax Taxibus

Various journeys to Longwater retail park and Dereham

Foulsham and Lyng have replacement journeys to Norwich, which is now provided by Sanders 24, 42 and 43, this has already been in place since April 3rd.

The Friday route from areas in Billingford and Lyng to Dereham will be replaced by a Tuesday and Friday service 18 which is provided by Konectbus.

The operator of journeys to Longwater will now be Our Bus and has now been expanded to include more journeys. There will now be a link from Wymondham, Hethersett and Little Melton to Longwater on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (Service 806), and from Costessey, West End and Ringland area on Tuesday and Thursday (Service 808A).

Connections to Norwich are still available on Tuesdays and Thursdays for passengers from the Colton and Marlingford area (Service 808).

Little Melton has now been added to the service Monday to Friday.

Our Bus

85 – Rockland Circular to Norwich

The operator of this service has now changed to Konectbus. There will be no changes to timetables.

86 – Beccles to Wheatacre to Thurlton to Alpington to Norwich

The morning journey will be re-timed and re-routed via Poringland and Arminghall and will arrive in Norwich at 8:15am making it more suitable for Framingham Earl, College students and traditional work times.

There will be an additional departure at 3pm from Norwich to Bergh Apton and Alpington.

There will also be an additional 3:20pm journey to Norwich from Bergh Apton and Alpington.

There will be an additional journey from Thurlton to Norwich, operating all year round which was previously only in operation during the school holidays.

This service now includes a shopping journey from Seething to Loddon at 9:00am – 10:08am.

Bergh Apton and Alpington has now been connected to Poringland.

There is now an improved service for Arminghall.

Saturday journeys for Bergh Apton and Alpington into Norwich have now been added.

There has been a revised route in and out of Beccles to better serve supermarkets.

806 – Wymondham to Hethersett to Little Melton to Longwater

There is now a new Monday, Wednesday, and Friday service to Longwater Retail Park.

806A – Barford area to Wymondham

There is now a Monday, Wednesday, and Friday service for Bawburgh, Marlingford, Barford, Barnham Broom and Wicklewood to Wymondham.

808 – Colton and Marlingford area to Longwater

There is now a revised timetable for the Tuesday and Thursday service from Little Melton, Bawburgh, Marlingford and Colton to Longwater Retail Park with connections to Konect 4 to the City Centre.

808A – Ringland, Costessey West End area to Longwater

There will be a new Tuesday and Thursday service for Ringland, Costessey West End and Taverham to Longwater retail park.

Marlingford Flexibus – Marlingford, Little Melton, Colton and Bawburgh

A new pre-book service has been introduced which is aimed at commuters. This service will provide a link to the NNUH at 7:50am and 5:45pm.

Sanders

X6 and 6 – North Walsham to Great Yarmouth

7:40am from Ormesby to North Walsham has now been extended back to Great Yarmouth. There has also been a 6:25am ex added from North Walsham on college days to Great Yarmouth.

9 and 9A – Holt to Fakenham

The 7am journey has been re-timed to 6:50am to maintain connections to Lynx bus to King’s Lynn.

22 – North Elmham to Fakenham

There has been a route withdrawn from North Elmham due to the KC21 extension. Beeston has also been added to this route.

Coasthopper – Wells to Cromer

The 5:20pm service from Wells to Cromer is now operating all year round. There is also an additional 7:28am service from Cromer to Wells which has been added to the route.

Holt Hopper – Holt Town service

This service has been withdrawn as specific funding has expired and unfortunately this service was not used enough to reapply for funding.

44 – Holt to Sheringham to Norwich

There has been a route revision in Holt to serve Nightjar Road, this was previously served by the Holt Hopper.

Semmence

1 – East Harling to Diss (Saturday service only)

This service has been withdrawn as there will be new journeys added on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday on the 37D providing the same journey to Diss.

There will also be additional journeys to Attleborough on the 37E and Thetford on the 37T. 37A will continue to operate in similar villages on Saturdays to Norwich.

584 and 17 – Pulhams to Diss (584) and Bressingham Circular (17)

The operator for this service has now been changed to Simonds. There has been a minor re-time to enable passengers to visit Pulham surgery.

805 and 806 – Wymondham Market Day Circulars

These services have been withdrawn and replaced by more frequent services to Wymondham. The 805 service has been expanded to serve more villages and there has been a new 805A service added for Deopham and Morley.

A new Monday, Wednesday, and Friday service to Wymondham for villages on the 806 route which has previously been served by the flexibus.

Simonds

581 – Diss to Harleston to Bungay to Beccles

There has been a re-timing of some journeys to better suit typical work hours in Diss, and there have been some changes to the afternoon timetable to reflect the change in finish times at Bungay High School.

West Norfolk Community Transport

South Norfolk Flexibus – Pre-book transport to Diss, Thetford, Watton, Attleborough and Wymondham

Many villages currently served by the flexibus will now have timetabled journeys to nearby towns. A pre-book service will only remain in villages where usage has been low and is not practical to timetable journeys.
