There are a wide range of bus tickets available to suit different travel needs. Individual bus operators are responsible for their fares, bespoke tickets and passes for their services and therefore we cannot give detailed information about those, however, we have compiled a list below of the most common tickets and passes you are likely to see across most service providers across Norfolk.
£2 bus fare cap
Now extended to 31 December 2024!
A single journey run by participating operators will cost no more than £2 as part of HM Government Help for Households campaign designed to support families through cost-of-living pressures.
If your current single ticket is less than £2 this will remain unchanged.
Adult

- This ticket allows you travel on a bus for a single journey, typically from one location to another.
Return
- A round-trip ticket!
- This ticket allows you to travel on a bus for a round-trip journey, typically from one location to another and back again. It is a ticket that covers both the outbound and inbound journeys.

- Save money on a ticket that grants passengers unlimited travel on buses within a specific region or fare zones for a consecutive period of 7 days.
Flexible
- Some bus operators offer an option to buy a discounted bundle of single or day tickets, this option is great if you only travel a few times a week! These tickets vary between different operators, so be sure to check if this option is available from your desired provider and always check the finer details!
Group
- Enjoy fantastic outings with your loved ones without breaking the bank! Take advantage of group day tickets which allow you to use the bus for an unlimited number of journeys throughout the day. The group ticket is ideal for groups or families of 1 adult and up to 4 children, or 2 adults and up to 3 children. It is important to note that the maximum number of people allowed in a group may vary between bus operators, so be sure to check their terms for further details before you travel!
- Group day tickets for up to five people, weekly tickets and monthly tickets on all services across Norfolk will be discounted by 25%.
- Save money on a ticket that grants passengers unlimited travel on buses within a specific region or fare zones for a consecutive period of 7 days.

- Concessionary travellers are individuals who carry a valid Concessionary Bus Pass granting them unlimited travel during off-peak times for a whole month. Eligible individuals can enjoy the convenience of unlimited bus travel, enabling them to commute and explore various destinations without worrying about individual ticket purchases!
- This ticket can be purchased on board all services or via operator apps!
Young persons
- A discounted ticket for under 19s!
- This ticket allows young people between the ages of 5 and 19 to travel on a bus at a discounted rate compared to adult fares.
- Under 5s travel free with most bus operators, however, always remember to check this with your service provider!

King’s Lynn flat fare
- A new flat fare which started on the 21st of August 2023 means that any single journey that starts and finishes within the King’s Lynn town zone, will cost just £1.50.
- All five bus operators who serve the town have signed up to the scheme – Lynx Bus, WNCT Ltd, Stagecoach, First Bus and Coach Services Ltd.
- The ‘town zone’ area covers key locations such as the Gaywood Estate, Q.E Hospital, Hardwick Retail Park, North and South Wootton.
Park and Ride
- From September 2023 Park & Ride services had new fares introduced enabling passengers to travel all day on the service for one price.
- The new fares coincided with the re-opening of Postwick Park & Ride, providing five out of town sites for those wishing to visit Norwich, from all major routes into the city.
Thetford flat fare
- The new flat fare which started on the 13th of November 2023, means that any single journey that starts or finishes within the designated zone will cost just £1.50.
- Both operators that serve the town, Coach Services Ltd and Konectbus have signed up to the scheme. The Thetford town zone includes key locations such as Thetford Academy, Tesco, Sainsburys and the RAF camp.
- A new flat fare which started on the 21st of August 2023 means that any single journey that starts and finishes within the King’s Lynn town zone, will cost just £1.50.
